Massage FAQ’s

1. What should I expect during my first session?
Expect a brief consultation where the therapist will ask about your medical history, any areas of tension, and your goals for the session. This is an opporotunity to assess areas of concern that will help the RMT tailor the session to your need. You're welcome to communicate any preferences during the treatment.

2. Do I need to undress for the massage?
You’ll undress to your level of comfort, typically leaving on underwear. You’ll be draped with a sheet at all times, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. You’re in control, so feel free to ask for adjustments if needed.

3. How should I prepare for my massage?
Arrive hydrated and avoid heavy meals right before your session. If you’re coming for a specific issue, consider wearing loose, comfortable clothing to help the therapist assess your posture and movement.

4. Can I talk during the massage?
It’s entirely up to you. Some clients prefer silence to relax, while others enjoy conversation. Feel free to share any preferences or areas of discomfort with the therapist during the session.

5. Is it okay to request pressure adjustments?
Absolutely! If the pressure feels too light or too firm, just let the therapist know. Your comfort is important, and they can adjust the pressure to suit your needs throughout the session.

6. What types of payment do you accept?

E-transfer, credit cards, cash, and cheques are acceptable forms of payment. Direct billing is not currently offered but you will be given receipt to claim through your insurance.
